ABOUT THE TOUR /

This 3 hour tour will not only provide an introduction to Moscow's vibrant culture and rich history but will also equip you with essential Russian for travel even if you’ve never learnt it before or improve your Russian communication skills if you’re an intermediate or an advanced speaker.

You’ve completed your language assignment after booking this tour so we’ll start our adventure with you ordering coffee in Russian like a local. While we’re in the coffeeshop, let’s have a good chat: Where do you come from? What are your first impressions of Moscow? What are your plans for the rest of the trip? Russian is welcome but not compulsory.

We’re now ready for a stroll across Red Square to admire its architectural marvels: the swirling onion domes of St. Basil’s Cathedral and the imposing walls of the Kremlin. If you’re interested in Soviet History and embalming techniques, we can also visit Lenin’s Mausoleum, the resting place of the famous communist leader.

It’s time to leave the square and head to Park Zaryadye which houses a unique botanical collection of plants from all four climatic zones that are found in Russia: tundra, steppe, forest and meadows.

Unless you’d like a trip on the metro, we’ll walk along the Moskva river to see the opulent and grandiose Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Our walk finishes here on Patriarchy bridge which presents a great opportunity to look at the beating heart of Russia, the Kremlin, once more.

LANGUAGE /

If you’re an intermediate or advanced speaker, let’s speak Russian. This tour will boost your language confidence by improving your communication skills and expanding your vocabulary of spoken Russian.

Don’t worry if you’ve never learnt Russian before - we’ll practise the very basics, such as greetings and civilities, which will go a long way in ensuring a rich and rewarding travel experience.

HISTORY /

Moscow is like a vast library where every building is a book waiting to be read. Or retold. The landmarks that we’ll see on this tour all have a fascinating story to tell.
