About

Welcome to the "Speak Russian in 12 Weeks" Community!

You’re here to speak Russian with confidence—and honestly, to have a laugh while doing it. As a language teacher, I know the real secret to fluency: conversation. And not just any conversation—live, real conversations where you’ll connect with people, make mistakes (don’t worry, we all do), and learn along the way.

Each month, we’ll dive into 2 exciting themes. With our Roadmap, you’ll have the tools—vocabulary, grammar, and practice tips. These calls are where we come together to chat, practice, and yes, have fun.

We’ll cover 6 exciting themes:

  • Relationships (let's talk about the people who matter most 💖)

  • Travel & Recreation (vacation plans, anyone?)

  • Arts & Culture (getting fancy with our vocab)

  • Self-Development & Growth (let’s be better, together)

  • Professional Development (boss-level Russian)

  • Hot Topics/Current Events (we'll keep it fresh)

These themes repeat twice a year, giving you time to get comfy and confident.

But don’t just stop at the calls—get involved in the posts and comments! Share your thoughts, ask questions, leave replies, and most importantly, have fun with it. You’ll find Russian language tips, jokes, inspiration, announcements, and even some member life stories to keep the energy going. This is your community, so make it your own!

And hey, don’t forget to follow other members by clicking on the "..." and hitting follow! Stay connected, share ideas, and get inspired by those on the same journey. Next step? Say hi to the community—introduce yourself and start connecting! 👋🎉

How to Introduce Yourself:

Comment below with a short introduction in Russian, English, or both!

Want to challenge yourself? Try recording a short video or audio!

What to Include in Your Introduction:

Where are you from, and where do you live now?

How long have you been learning Russian? What excites you about it?

How do you plan to use Russian? (For travel, work, meeting new people?)

What’s your biggest goal in this journey?

And for fun, pick one question to answer!

💪 What’s your superpower—something you can help others with?

🌟 What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

🎵 What’s a song that always lifts your mood?

🧠 If you could have a conversation with any historical figure, who would it be?

🌎 If you could live anywhere for a year, where would it be and why?

😂 What’s the funniest Russian word or phrase you’ve learned so far?

We can’t wait to hear from you. Drop your intro in the comments below and let’s get to know each other. I'll go first!
